Estimates are based on the information provided. Incorrect information regarding access or quantity of furnishings may result in additional charges. Estimates are valid for three months.


Thomas R. Callan provides free insurance cover for goods in transit to a maximum of £25,000 per van. If a higher level of insurance is required please contact the office in order to increase the cover. Any claims must be received in writing within seven days whether the removal has been unpacked or not.


Please endorse your household insurance policy to cover your furnishings in storage. The address of our Storage Centre is: Thomas R. Callan, Storage House, 33 MacIntosh Place, Irvine KA11 4JT. If you encounter any problems please contact our office for assistance.

NB. There are certain items which cannot be permitted into the store. e.g. all foods, consumables, liquids, inflammables etc…. All power tools, lawnmowers, must be drained. Indoor and outdoor plants cannot be accommodated. All refrigerators and freezers must be defrosted and dried out. Carpets must be vacuumed and rolled securely.


If you have selected a removal with no packing services all small household items must be boxed appropriately. All box lids must be sealed closed, boxes labelled with room reference. Please remember the garage, shed and goods in your attic must be brought down and packed.
NB: All boxes packed by yourself are only covered by our insurance if the box sustains damage by our staff e.g. if box is bashed or dropped.
Part Packing Service includes the packing of all china, glass, crystal, decorative and kitchen ware.
Full Packing Service includes all household furnishings except food, clothing and personal belongings e.g. jewellery, money, deeds, securities, etc.
NB: all small valuables, jewellery, personal belongings are the customers responsibility and should not be included in the removal or part of a storage consignment.


. Ensure all your kitchen appliances are disconnected. Our staff are not insured for any electrical or plumbing work.
. Unless otherwise agreed, dismantling and re-assembling of furniture is not included in the service. NB: we are not liable for damage to self assembly furniture unless such damage is caused through negligence by Thomas R. Callan. Please dismantle and pack furniture prior to the removal.

. This estimate is based on door to door access please ensure clear access and parking for HGV’s and advise us of any potential problems. Ensure driveways etc. are clear of low hanging branches, any obstructions may result in additional charges.

. To be present or represented throughout the removal, to ensure that nothing that should be removed is left behind and nothing is taken in error.

. To arrange proper protection of goods left at unattended premises or where tenants or workman may be present.


A cancellation fee may be charged in order to recover reasonable losses if you cancel or postpone your removal within twenty-eight days.
Delays caused through access or keys, being withheld may result in a waiting charge for each van and two man team.

All invoices will be presented for payment on completion of removals. Payment to the driver can be made by Cash, Cheque or Debit Card. Credit Cards also accepted with an additional 2.5% charge. Payments for Storage will be invoiced every 4 weeks and all storage accounts must be paid in full prior to removal from Store.
